Emmanuel Darnaud founded his domaine in 2001 with just 1.3 hectares in Crozes-Hermitage. Today, thanks to steady growth and the addition of parcels from his father-in-law, the legendary Bernard Faurie, he farms over 20 hectares across Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, and Hermitage. His vines, averaging 40 years old, are all hand-harvested, with no purchased fruit. From the start, Darnaud’s meticulous vineyard work and respect for the fruit earned him praise, with his very first vintage placing him among the top names of the appellation. His wines, now served in Michelin-starred restaurants, are known for their ripe, generous style balanced by finesse and elegance. From the juicy, peppery Mise en Bouche to the more structured Les Trois Chênes and the refined Hermitage cuvées, Emmanuel Darnaud has built a reputation as a trusted name in the northern Rhône.
